Reflections on the Old Testament: 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles

“W hat have you to do with peace? Turn around and follow me.” --2 Kings 9:18 (NKJV) Before we are saved, we have nothing to do with peace. True peace can only be found in the Lord. He draws us to Himself and we ask: “Is it peace?” Then He says: “What have you to do with peace?” (For we are sinners.) We cower, because we do not know peace and fear that we cannot, but then He says: “Turn around and follow Me.” Oh, blessed words! Turn from the path of chaos and enter the peace and rest of the Lord. Yes, it is peace.
